to build a home

<to build a home> is a story that is set at the end of this century, like many other parts of the world the city of New Haven sits above water, it was the ever-increasing sea level that made men resort to building towards the sky, higher and higher the skyscrapers became the closer we were to the atmosphere. 

Each of these great big skyscrapers were connected to each other by bridges, now they were overgrown with vegetation and instead of people, you'd often see wildlife crossing them. Majority of the humanity had been wiped out during the great machine war, fought between Man and the AI they created. For a few decades the remaining human species hid-away from plain sight, but as the machines slowly ran out of fuel, they were able to expand their populations slowly once again, creating settlements across the world.

The main character you control is a tiny spirit, whom has taken shape using dirt and soot. Not sure what it is or its purpose in life, it attempts to seek comfort in a word called home.
